Launderette

Monarch Laundry was the very first coin operated launderette in Yeovil. The Forbes family opening its doors to the local community in 1967, the launderette still remains open today, still owned by the Forbes family and serving not only the local community but people coming from far and wide for a reasonably priced, easy to use, coin operated launderette.

WASHING

Inside the launderette to the left you can find two sizes of coin operated washing machine. There are three 8kg (17lb) capacity washing machines and four large 20kg (44lb) capacity washing machines. They are super simple and quick to use.

DRYING

Inside the launderette to the right you will find seven large capacity coin operated dryers with three different heat settings (high, medium and low). They are much quicker than your normal driers at home and more cost effective.

Priced at £1.00 for 8 minutes, a normal 8kg load will cost approx £4 which is 32 minutes.

DETERGENT & FABRIC SOFTENER

Inside the launderette at the far end you will find a machine where you can purchase detergent and fabric softener. A cup of detergent and fabric softener will cost you £1.00 each cup.

CHANGE MACHINE

Inside our launderette at the far end you will find a note changer. It will change £5, £10 & £20 into £1 coins.

SNACKS & DRINKS

Inside the launderette on the left you will find two machines offering hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks.

These machines will take most coins and are very reasonably priced.

SERVICE WASHING & DRYING

Staff are available to take service washes and drying between 9am-5pm Monday - Friday.

We can launder personal clothing, football kits, rugby kits, hairdressing, beauty or spa towels, duvets and sleeping bags.

BEDDING IRONING

Do you love that feeling of getting into bed with freshly ironed sheets but don't have the time or the will power to stand over the iron doing it yourself? Just drop it in fresh from the washing machine (no need to dry) and well do it for you. We can do it at a fraction of the time and with a much better finish for just £1.00 per item.

Staff can professionally launder your duvets and pillows.
